need a 3" rear lift

Recommended Posts

so bastardizing two 2wd packs isn't getting me enough lift to match the front 3" coils :( , even with the longer shackle.  what's everyone seeing out there that's affordable.  hoping for sub-$150 for a long add-a-leaf, maybe?

Maybe see if marketplace has a 5” lift for an XJ. I added the main leaf from one of those with the eyes cut off for the lift in the rear of my MJ. It kept a similar rake to stock after my 3” front springs were installed.

I have the add a leafs that got me to 3.5" with a shackle I'm not gonna use any more if you're interested. They're the full length ones from a zone off-road kit I got from @scguy a few years ago. I'd let them go cheap.

My MJ project is sitting on 3” front BDS coils and their full length MJ add a leaf. If you like the stance it would probably work for you. This was a 4 leaf 4wd pack before adding the 5th leaf. I had to redrill the center pin to match the MJ pack but that was no big deal. When I had my springs apart, I took the time to mix and match the left and right leaves to get me equal free arch on both. Driving with no passenger and a full tank had the left side sitting a bit lower than the right. Now they are back to even. It still has a slight rake but it’s down to about an inch. Last time a measured a factory rake it was about 2.25-2.5”

Wish I had some better full stance shots but it’s exactly the stance I was looking for.

That might be the best solution but I couldn't find the add-a-leaf on BDS's website could you share a link?

trying something outside the box.  found a more generic long AAL that was on super-sale and we'll be trying that in a few days.  it's designed to lift a fullsize truck 1.5" so it should work?  :dunno:

Spring over axle give you too much lift?

yes.  5.5-6.5 is too much to match the front
