Three point eight.

Recommended Posts

Well, life hits how it hits, when it hits. Some of you may remember my old white one pictured below

It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the MJ world.

this 86 fell in my lap.  Close to rust free.  2.5/4speed manual with d35 and 3.55’s.  Carpet instead of rubber mat.  A/c, cruise, radio, clock, cigarette lighter delete.

This will be a supercharged Buick 3800 built:

03kj 8.25 rear w/ 3.73 and discs

98zj 30 front with 3.73

3.5” OME on all corners

93 Dakota bellhousing

99xj ax15

nv242

cable shift linkage

96 xj a/c core, electric 134 a/c system

super looking forward to this build. :D

(side note, we've been having random issues with upside down photos but it has to do with how orientation code is saved in different systems and thus beyond our software.  I've found that if I alter the pic at all in my laptop and save, it'll load properly :L: if you're using a phone it's more complicated than i can fix them for you as needed.)

She cleans up well.  Bunch of parts ordered from key parts.

this one will be a supercharged series 3 Buick 3800 from a Grand Prix gtp.

I didn’t know about key parts until 2 weeks ago.

the original will be back on the road because the parts are available.  This will be a side by side build.

Very interesting. I'm a big 3800 fan. They're far more efficient than they have any business being.

What trans and how are you running the intake plumbing with the TB on the back?

ax15 with a 2.4/ax15 mid 90’s Dakota bell.  Another step will be to determine what part number starter will be needed or what starter gear to install on the appropriate bellhousing mounted starter.  Because the Dakota, Comanche, etc. 60 degree bell has starter on passenger side, bell mounted, and the 3800 has it on driver’s side, engine block mounted…and I don’t want to modify the bell.

as far as intake, we’re not there yet.  I’d imagine that I will need to find 1 of 2 available Eaton M90’s with a 180 degree intake elbow, or modify/manufacture one to bolt on to the standard equipment.
