Dzimm Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 Does anyone know of a source for the clips that go on the tail lights the screws go into? I've got a product nearing the end of development and I have been trying to source these clips for it but none I've found are the right size. An exact match would be ideal but anything that's close will work as well.
89 MJ Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 Have you checked out AuVeCo? They make a bunch of clips. A local body shop supply company should stock some.
JMO413 Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 Exact match from GM. https://www.fastener.zone/products/auveco-9880-347-gm-15650655 These are the Aveco equivalent.

I need a massive list of GM hardware that is the same for a bunch of our stuff so I can put each AMC/Chrysler number and link it to the GM stuff.

Limeyjeeper Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I hope this is what I think it is, because if it is what I think it is that would be awesome!!😁

Parei_doll_ia Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 You could also just extrude a boss for an m4 screw or similar and tap it post printing. Then you wouldn't need the clips. Of course this would require that the end user not over torque the screws

On the JK adapters I print threaded bosses for the screw I include and they work well but again plastic threads and they add a considerable amount of print time for the boss and the support.. I will probably be changing the JK adapters to use these clips instead.
