rylee144 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Came out this morning to go to work and the hood on my Comanche was up. Thought that's weird, and saw my battery was missing. I feel somewhat lucky they took the time to unhook everything and didn't just cut the wires. I look down the street and see a crappy old blazer that doesn't belong to my neighbors. I go check it out and the ignition is torn out and my battery and breaker bar are on the back seat, Score! I called the sheriff's office who came and towed the dude's car. In all I'm only out some time to put it back in and they are without a car. Would have been cool if the guy came back while I was waiting but no luck.
fiatslug87 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 A$$holes!!! Awesome you tracked it down so quickly and got your stuff back.
eaglescout526 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 That’s actually sounds like a tale my cousins would tell from their days in the force. Course they’re redneck so they even have some more wild ones. But glad you got the battery back. Gettin that blazer towed made me chuckle a little. Bit of karma right there.
Pete M Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 What the heck?! I've got a feeling that blazer wasn't his either.
Manche757 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 A dumb thief. Assuming your truck was locked, how did he get the hood open without tearing up something?

NHMJXJ Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Glad you got your battery back. I can relate. Had a vanity plate ripped off the front bumper of my truck last year, frame and all. I would have loved to catch'em in the act. Bastids.

Pete M Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 that's probably why you didn't spot the guy. he likely hightailed it as soon as you walked out the door!

Manche757 Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 The well respected PO who can fix or build anything hasn't gotten around to fixing his door locks. Kind of makes me feel normal.
rylee144 Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 Just noticed they stole my cigarette lighter. Ugh. I don't need it but now it doesnt look complete

rylee144 Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 I bet your right? That thing is long gone by now. If that's all that I'm out after that I'm lucky.
