m2bandit Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 These tail lights would be made of ABS plastic and use standard 6" oval truck lights. Below is a rendering of the right side. Oval lights can be found in stop/turn/tail/backup as shown below or stop/turn/tail for the sides.
jeeptec1 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Kinda cool. I think it would be great on a truck that does some hard wheeling. I’ve broken a taillight or 2 and good used replacements are extremely difficult to get. Also you could remove and put away the factory ones and use these. tugboat95 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 It would nice to have an option. I like the off-road idea. Shouldn't effect the values of the originals since it looks like I may be funding my retirement with them. I'm up to 3 pairs now. Just waiting the break the originals on the truck.Joke aside it would be nice to have new lights.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original
Jeep Driver Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 If you are going to bother........ Why not be creative? Also, are you going to match the multiple radii? If not it will look cheap and you'll be unsuccessful.

howeitsdone Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Why not make tail light guards? Wouldn't be super different from the rendering already. Just bars instead of flat metal. People are always keeping the original lights. There is no form of protection currently, unless you put your truck on a shelf and leave it there. And even then!
