Valve cover.

Could I get this valve cover to fit on my 87? It says it doesn't but I looked around and saw different year covers can fit on other years with some mods.

flip it around and should be good. the issue was in the different ccv set up i believe.

So the 4.0l thing just has to be in the back

i think so. but have not ran this perticlur one myself. so thinking of the newer aluminum stocks ones. which i believe these are reproduced spec wise from and just paint them. other wise just run your plumbing opposite i reckon

I've used a '95 XJ VC on my '88 MJ. I also upgraded to the larger CCV Tube and fitting from the latter XJs. I had to cut and splice in tubbing as the RENIX position of the CCV is a bit farther forward. On my '98 XJ, I use a 93-98 ZJ VC. It is aluminum and has the CCV grommets from the 96-01 or even latter 4.0L VC. I use the Felpro VC gasket that is a silicon rubber with a steel reinforcement for the earlier 4.0L. Its about $35-50.

replaced my plastic original cover on my 2.5 with an aluminum cover from a 93 i believe, wrangler with no problems.
