Garnet interior ZJ?

Have you guys ever seen a ZJ with garnet interior before?

No, I have not. I’m guessing that it’s an early 93 though. Does it have a 92 build date and an AW4 transmission?

I knew I forgot to snag a pic of something. It didn’t have anything in the engine bay so it’s tough to say

Yes I have.  My mom had bought a brand new grand Cherokee larado shortly after they came out in 93. The exterior was dark cherry red and had red interior. Never saw another red interior in one since. Was told that half way there production in 93 they quit that color interior, I don’t know.

Neat info! I had a feeling it was a very early thing that Chrysler offered but wasn’t sure if someone went through the effort to be different and painted the interior. I’d pull what I could but wouldn’t be sure if there’s a market for ZJ interior.

I was told for what it’s worth that they dropped that color because of the sun glare reflecting off the dash onto the windshield. Not sure if that’s the truth but most I have seen have gray interiors .

Light gray dark gray and Tan/spice interiors. Some green to I think, not sure, my memory is fuzzy on the green. Maybe it was green and tan.

I like the ZJ’s except for the horrible Chrysler transmission.

Yes I have seen that before. Very rare. About as rare as manual trans ZJs also. And Ive seen those as well. Been a long time seeing either.

Green and tan, orvis colors. Also black too.

I guess my next question is should I snag any of the pieces?

Definitely don’t see it too often, even online. I think I’ve only ever seen one in person, but then I’ve only been in the ZJ game a couple years and don’t get to junkyards too often anymore. 
I don’t think I’ve seen too many people in the ZJ groups looking for red interior pieces, and that one looks a bit trashed. No one really seems to care much at all about “rarities”... But then I’m not on an actual ZJ forum, just the facepage bull crap where it seems like no one cares about anything other than “v8 go vroom” or how fast they can spin their bald 37’s.

More or less the interior has been just sitting for probably a few years covered in dust. But I don’t know much About the rare commodities of ZJs either and I know a few of you guys own one or two so I thought id ask.
