and if not, is this a feature I can add by getting a bottle from the appropriate XJ? I seem to remember reading that the wiring is there.

No it’s not there. The engine side is there but the interior side is not. Perhaps studying the schematics could yield in connecting the bulb in the cluster to the sensor wiring but otherwise our Renix MJs are not plug and play for that. I tried.

Wouldn't be too hard to add.  You can buy the correct Packard connector and install it in the appropriate slot of the passenger-side of the bulkhead connector.  Then run the wire to the appropriate pin on the cluster harness.

That's weird.  It was plug and play on my 91.  But my 91 doesn't have any cargo light wiring, whereas the Renix era had it ready to plug and play.

I would say a bed light is better than a washer fluid low light, but that's just me. Let's just call it a wash. :laugh:
