Absolutely freakin awesome. Had no idea.  I don't know if I'll live to see it, but setting foot on another planet is #1 on my bucket list.

Fun factoid.....see the big white sphere to the right of the launchpad?  Fuel storage tank.  Several years ago, my mom (RIP) dated the guy who designed those things.  I'm sure he's long since passed away by now as well.  He was French, and an absolute @$$.....but was loaded, LOL.

 

He worked on the Space Shuttle project.

The shuttle was pretty neat to see. They built it here. We used to see it fly around atop the 747 during testing. Flew right over the house.
