watchamakalit
Ok you guys know the drill.... What is this one for? And what has happened here with the red wire? P.O. work or is this a factory solder joint? It was only wrapped with electrical tape so I have a feeling it is PO. My truck does have old brackets on the front bumper for what I assume were driving lights. I have yet to find any evidence where someone wired them in. Did I just find the remains? My truck did not have factory fog lights. Forgot the pic.

watchamakalit
I still have my ballast resistor so I know that's not it. Yes I have a cooling fan relay still intact.
Ωhm
Since you have a Radiator Temperature Switch (RTS) connector that goes no where, is the Cooling Fan ON with the KEY ON? Is vehicle equipped with AC?
watchamakalit
I do have factory ac. And I don't think ive ever heard my electric fan come on. Lol
jdog
red wire is supposed to be that way, just supposed to have a cover over it
Ωhm
With AC selected and when the compressor clutch engages, does the Cooling Fan also engage?

jdog
This is the wiring harness for a/c on mine, note the red wire. altho I can't say it came from the factory that way, the vehicle i pulled it from was pretty stock and didn't seem like the p/o screwed with things

watchamakalit
Well thats good to know. I'll resolder and heat shrink it. As far as the fan, I don't know if it runs with the ac on or not. The ac has no charge in it so I don't currently use it. I'll have to check on the fan tomorrow.
jdog
easy way would be jump the two connectors on the open plug and turn the key on, the fan should kick on
