High2by
are they interchangeable? I can't promise I can get back there, but the XJ just now showed up so there's a chance I can get back and grab the headrest off the other seat. I have XJ seats in mine, I’m just missing that headrest. Not sure why or how but that’s how it was when I got it. If you can get it, I’d take it but don’t go out of the way for it. Thanks!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I pulled multiple sets back in the day. If I happen to run across a set here, do you want me to pull them for you? PM me....I'll gladly yank them fir you at cost, plus shipping. If you do happen to come across a set, please do let me know. I'd really appreciate it.
mjeff87
You are talking about the FRONT tow hooks, yes? If you mean the rear XJ hooks, I've only ever seen one XJ up here with those.

mjeff87
10-4. I might try to swing down on Saturday and see what in there. I've got to swap steering knuckles on my Focus first, so I'm sure I'll end up needing something from the yard in the process.
TheDude
Nice! '88 Laredos had unique upholstery - that's the only place you'll find grey, plaid fabric. Just FYI. I too had a junkyard adventure today - mostly for some boring GM stuff for other people, but I did happen upon a RHD '95 XJ with an NP242... and a '91 Laredo that hadn't been touched since it left the factory - even down to the factory hose clamps. Got a lot of good little stuff out of that one. I thought about skinning the seats so I have my 3rd set of tear-free spare upholstery for my own '91, but didn't feel like it in the end. Pete M
was in the area today and couldn't not go back for the headrest, tilt steering column, throttle body, and cruise servo/computer. mjeff87
Minuit....I went to 2 different yards today. Fist one had 3 XJ's, none of them had hooks. The other one was new to me, they had 9 XJ's. 8 of them didn't have hooks, the other one did but someone grabbed them already. I'll keep looking. That second yard also had a ton of KJ's. One of them had a brand spankin new set of loaded front struts. My KJ doesn't need them yet, but will eventually. I just didn't have the gumption to pull them....it rained all day here yesterday and overnight, and the place was a total mud pit. Plus it's only like 40 degrees here today and misting. The kind of weather that just chills you to the core, so I bailed. I R a wimp. I might run up on Monday and grab them, it's supposed to be almost 70 here. My wife is having oral surgery in prep for an implant and I took the day off to drive her up and back. I might pour her back onto the couch afterward and then run back up there, lol. Pete M
45% off this weekend so I went on back and found that the MJ, which was yanked from the yard waaaaay back when and returned just for me, was still there. So I got to work on the things I didn't have time for last trip and pulled the leafs, flywheel, spare tire winch, computer, and a couple other little things. SatiricalHen
I’ve found one set of Cherokee tow hooks in all my years of looking. Been to every yard I know of around here. Also, how much do you charge for storage haha I’d love to have room to pull stuff I don’t need. I guess I’d need some spare change to spend on it as well. Oh that’s right and time to go pull it. Oh well I’m still happy wandering around and grabbing small things that I find cool or interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pete M
careful what you wish for. I don't have those things either. due to my illness, time is the only thing I do have, so I try to make the most of the energy I can muster. the money is part borrowed and part leftover from selling my beloved Dakota. Storage is under an awning I built behind the barn at my folks' place (with the more fragile things inside the barn). I'll be heading north to Michigan in a few weeks and hopefully selling some rust free parts to help pay down my debt.
