phatton
Has anyone tried Auto Customs Interior molded vinyl flooring? I'm considering switching from carpet to molded vinyl in my 90 Comanche and ACI is the only scoured I've found - would like some real world experience with their product - Thanks
Pete M
I do believe there's only one actual manufacturer of MJ carpets/floorings
89 MJ
It is not very good. It isn’t really molded, needs a lot of cutting, and has wrinkles when you put it in.
Warren Mohler
got ACC vinyl floor from Rock Auto best price I've found, good heavy material. advertises it's molded but just barely, took better part of two days and two guys. got mine in and looks OK. TIP remove both shifters if 4x4 and get it tucked under heater before cutting ANYTHING.their instructions say to start in rear and work forward, put it all in especially up front as bulges occur next to gas pedal, when laid out the only real molded part was at seat belt anchors by B pillars and when that was in place the front looked like crap and front is what you look at, mine is in and looks OK in front but still have to deal with issues behind bench seat when it warms up. I'm won't say not to get but be prepared for lots of work, budget enough time-good luck
schardein
Here are some pics of the original Jeep vinyl flooring in a 91. Perhaps someone can post pics of the aftermarket vinyl flooring so we have a comparison.
Minuit
I have an ACC carpet in my '91. All things considered, I think it turned out really well, but don't think you're just going to lay it in like an OEM carpet. It takes some serious work to get it right. I would assume the vinyl floor is the same way. Stock up on utility knife blades before you start, and be patient with it.
