Where can I buy one of these?

Recommended Posts

Rubber boot that leads into the fuel delivery diaphragm has developed a tear. Therefore, my lil champ chugs up the highways and byways. The two auto parts companies, that I have tried (Rockauto and NAPA) does not have any sort of part.

The hard portion of the line seems to be intact.

Please advise!

Thanks in advance :)

You could always buy one of those 4.0 vacuum harness kits that is made and harvest the part you need. That’s how I completely rebuilt my 2.5 harness.

Where can I get that kit at?

Please advise :)

Doorman makes them. Part numbers 46003 and 46004. Most parts stores can get them. I bought mine on Amazon.

Thank you kindly! When I showed that NAPA 'know how' wingnut' me briefly looked on his computer and quickly said, no sir, we do not that part.

I have found more people that work at the parts stores currently don't know the difference between a PCV valve and a spark plug! I always take them a part number. This really makes me sad beacuse the O'Reilly's in town used to have 4 real parts guys. They also had a lady that did their commerical line that was awesome. Since they have all retired it has went to crap. Not many real parts people out there anymore.

Amen to that. We hate using Napa for that reason. The guys at our O'reillys know what they are looking up when we give them specifics and such.

Its still funny to call other dealers for MJ and XJ parts and the counter men say its some kind of (insert part description here) and I tell them its for the XJ and MJ and they kinda remain baffled.

Around the Pittsburgh, PA area O'reillys are as dumbfounded as NAPA. My XJ had the outboard axle UJ go bad and I tried them, for once. Each and every part I bought (yes, they searched for it), had to be returned. What sad sack auto parts store!!!

Over the years I have had more problems with Napa parts than any other supplier mostly import ignition tune up stuff, their brown dist. caps were sure to crack not long after install, breaker points that didn't close properly. Napa is the only parts store that I have been in where "MANAGER " talks down the competition when the part you need is not in stock in Napa store  to get you to order for next day, if I wanted it the next day I'd come in yesterday! I sold parts for 7 years if I didn't have it I called my competition for you just so you would get it when needed

Not only the countermen but their corporate people too! Just like how dealers have parts specifiers for finding the right part and or making sure it is right, the Napa specifiers are idiots. I was hunting down the special Renix alt without AC that has the extended pulley on it and one of their websites pictures lies as I got it and it was wrong. So the countermen who actually were good guys(don't know what happened to them now) had to call their specifier and see why that one comes with the wrong pulley but the picture is wrong. They still got the right one for me but man it seems like the laziness and lack of knowledge in my generation has taken over.
