I know on my turbo 350 and 400, you just have to change the tail housing and shaft. I was just wondering if it is possible with the Jeep/Chrysler transmission in my Comanche. yxmj Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 Well...I have never done a trans on a 1998 MJ......but my best guess is no ....answer your own questions... Does the trans you are asking about have a visible removable tail shaft...the gm trans you reference have 4 bolts that you take off to drop the tail shaft....
