Fryedaddy
Since I purchase my mj I’ve had a very slow wiper speed. Didn’t matter what speed I turned it to. It was always on the same speed, slow! Recently it just stopped working. I’ve had several CJs/YJs and would replace the motor, always fixed issue. It’s past the date of inspection, wipers and horn are the only issue but I’m getting horn sorted. Should I replace the motor then go the the next item if that doesn’t fix or ???? eaglescout526
There is a common ground that almost literally everything shares on the drivers side fender. Clean that up and check the wipers operation.
watchamakalit
Cruisers tips is a good place to start. An additional ground and a good refresh of the existing grounds can work miracles. http://cruiser54.com/ My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t Edit: dang I was to slow. JustEmptyEveryPocket
On other threads people have mentioned unplugging the variable speed wiper box. Its under the dash, and if you unhook it you are then supposed to be able to plug the two cables directly together. This should give you all or nothing on the wipers. Try that first and see if maybe your box is the problem.
JustEmptyEveryPocket
THIS THREAD seems to have your same issue, and points to the same solution as I stated above.
Fryedaddy
Thank you all! I should have mentioned. I added a ground in the cab and at the firewall previously. Ill check the wiper box.
coolwind57
If you get a chance, go check out my write-up on wipers. There's some good stuff in there from my experience in this area and lots of pictures.

cruiser54
coolwind's write up is excellent and should be done by everyone who hasn't done it before winter hits. Numerous electrons will be saved as a result.
JMO413
The ground and the wiper transmission rebuild are both a must do.
