So looking to add a rear sway bar.  Found the two main write ups for short and long bed.  And also how the addco kit isn't great. I have a front addco bar on order so I would like to have an addco out back too. Can't seem to find a blazer one, but the WJ one is plentiful. I have a short bed. Would the WJ work on the short?  I know the shocks are located different but from the long bed write up it seems, at least to me, that I can just move the axle mounts a tad more inboard and have them clear the shock. I could be totally wrong tho. Any help here?

When I get ready to add a sway bar to my longbed trailer (simply placing the spare tire to one side makes the whole thing lean), I'm going to take some pics and measurements (and bring the trailer with me) and then wander the junkyard poking under suvs until I find something that works.  maybe an explorer bar?  :dunno:  maybe from something with IRS?  there are a lot of bars out there.  I'm sure one of them will be perfect. :D

I thought about that too but being in the Northeast finding a non crusty bar is kinda tough. I'd like to buy new if I can

My rear Addco bar will be here in the next few weeks.  I will post my thoughts on it.

I almost pulled the trigger on it but decided against it on the way it mounts. I got a front one for now on order.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of it either but I'll run it that way at least for a little bit.  Once lowered I will have to modify it anyway so I'll move the mount then.

Gotchya. Well post up once you do it. I'm already lowered so I wanna get the suspension dialed in. Rear sway bar is last on the list ( for now)

You have a build thread?  I did a quick search and didn't see anything.  Id like to know more about your suspension setup.

Nah. I've thought about making one but I am bad about posting updates so I decided against it. Maybe I'll change that. Anyway just message me with what you wanna know. It's not super involved but I've been digging through threads like crazy for ideas and am getting it done.

start one!  start one now!  too many MJ owners keep telling me they'll get to it later and then never do. :(

I second what Pete said. I regret not hopping on here after I found several answers and not tracking my build. I'd like to go back and see the original base steel white wheels again from when I first got Little Red. But I can't find any pictures from that time.

Do it!  Even if it's massive dumps of pictures and info occasionally it's better than nothing.  PM inbound.

Believe me it's worth the time. There are quite a few things I wish I had pictures of. It is always nice to be able to look back and see progress.:brows:

. I'm already lowered

WJ would not work and likely would not work for you for two reasons-

One, long bed shocks are mounted in front of the axle.......yours are in the rear.

Secondly, you are already lowered, you'll likely have frame to spring to SB mount/link interference.

On one hand you say you cannot find one for a Blazer and on the other hand you say you want to buy new...........buy new for a Blazer.

Addco, I have no idea why it is that Jeep people think that Addco is the go to people for bars.......every time this subject comes up.........Addco.

Look to Hellwig. There are others too, Belltech and Ridetech and a couple more. Explore all their offerings, measure.

Tubular or solid........find out, mine is solid, it's a truck.

Also, WJ is 9/16 and a waste of your effort. 7/8 at a min and I'd look to 1" if I ever replace.

Well looks like I'm making a build thread. It's gonna be a huge text picture dump until I get caught up to today.

As for the bar, I did find a belltech for the Blazer, and an addco, and hellwig too. Any difference between any of them? Looks like they are all 1 inch

Found a belltech 1 and 1/8 bar for a 95 to 01 blazer so looks like that's gonna be what I get. Pricier than the addco but it's also bigger

My daily is a 15 Frontier.

I measured the leafs some time back and the Frontier leafs appear to to be a bolt-in replacement for those who want to lower or go SOA.

Spring is flat.......would likely give you the 2" drop rather than drop blocks.

Just didn't want to cloud your build thread.
