Clean up the ground behind the drivers taillight.

You've already narrowed it down to fuel and from the sounds of it, you aren't getting power to your pump.

...

Thanks,

I will check that.

I forgot to mention that the Dash Fuel Gauge does not move, with Key-ON.

I will clean the Ground Point behind the taillight.

Did you jumper the fuel pump at the fuel pump relay block? Pin C216_1(30) to C216_4(87). Use a fused jumper.

So when you jumped the fuel pump at the fuel pump relay block you got fuel pressure, but still had a NO START condition?

...

Ahhh...(said the blind-man) I see, I see.

I jumped the fuel pump, at the relay - only, to test the pump.

So, should I fuse-jumper the pump that way and try to start?

I wil try that after I check  -  Ground.

I'd suggest reinstalling the original ECU.

And test your fusible links, all seven of those...........they belong in the trash but that's another matter.

...

Original ECU - GONE - Core Exchange.

Two things:
1) 50psi seems high for fuel rail pressure, could be the gauge used. Pull and check plugs for wet fouling.
2) Since you don't get fuel rail pressure when the fuel pump relay is installed. Disconnect and check for voltage at the Ignition Control module (ICM) connector C213_A with the KEY ON and during CRANK.

No, I have not.

I will do that, next.

Thanks,

...

Static tested - Unplugged the CPS - Ohmmeter shows OPEN -between B and C.

Plugged in the CPS and checked for Voltage at the three Pins

With Key-ON and with Key-START.

No Voltage readings.

Went back and retested with:

KeyON-START-

Fused Jumper at Relay-

JEGS- 0-60 psi fuel pressure gauge -

This time, up to 55psi -

Can smell fuel at fuel rail area - no leaks, though.

No Fuel Fouling - on Plugs

...

Disconnected the Neg Batt cable-

Unscrewed the ECM Connector-

Sprayed Contact Cleaner-

Sat for about 30 minutes-

Plugged both, back in-

KeyON-START-

-Started-right-up, like it had been running all along.

Yea.

Thanks to all of you that contributed to finally getting

this Big-City, Country Boy, running and on-the-road, again.

Thanks, again - very good-place;  here.

Hi   nice rig!  ))     I have the 88 Comanche 4 lit short bed.   Mine was in storage for 7 years as well.  We by-passed relay on upper left side under hood to check the fuel pump if was working adequately and it turned out while it was pumping, it wasnt pumping enough, which explained the start temp but no idle for my situation;  if that helps.   ))

One question if you good folks would be so kind,  where on earth do you get the sending unit for this model?   Does anybody have a suggestion?   Mopar -no  Dealer-no  JCWhitney+Ebay+Amazon just generic-won't fit.   Has anybody had any luck finding where one can get the fuel sending unit for 88 Comanche 4 liter?

Thanks so much for your comment help in advance.  ))

This thread is about a no-start condition, and it has been resolved. You'll get more/better answers to your question about a fuel level sender if you start your own thread. I'm closing this one.
