Jacoblopes Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Just pulled the bumper off my mj and found this.... have no idea what it is.
87MJTIM Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 vacuum bottle. It holds the vacuum to control all the parts that need vacuum.
Jacoblopes Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 Ok thanks where is it supposed to go? Cuz it was just sitting in the bumper.
Tex06 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Basically exactly where you found it. The cruise control won't operate without it properly.

HOrnbrod Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Sitting out there in the weather isn't the ideal place for it. Better IMO to relocate it somewhere in the engine compartment. Example:
coolwind57 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I second HOrnbrod. Relocate that sucker while you have it dislodged from your bumper. You'll be eliminating a few feet of damage/failure-prone tubing. I put mine same place as his.
Jacoblopes Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 ok cool thanks. so you guys said it was cruise control? because i didn't know it had it
87MJTIM Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Update your signature to include a description of your truck: year, engine, trans, 2 or 4 wd, any modifications done

That reservoir is used for the climate control and other vacuum operated accessories, but it's also used for cruise control if you have it.
Jacoblopes Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 OK cool how do i update my signature? sorry i'm knew to this.
