Bsracing Posted September 25, 2018 Author Posted September 25, 2018 Yea. Center to center for the perches. Read online it’s the same. But there is so much information it ridiculous.

Bsracing Posted September 25, 2018 Author Posted September 25, 2018 Well yea. but is that the same for an 8.8?
yxmj Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 No.....they would need to be moved slightly (8.8)
DirtyComanche Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Explorers are 38.5", or so I believe. Not gonna work.
gogmorgo Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I've seen people on Facebook say they're close enough not to matter, but I wouldn't chance it. Any misalignment between the axle and frame mounts, and instead of just flattening out the arch of your spring as they flex, you'll also be twisting them, which will severely shorten the life of the bushings and spring. Although thinking about it now I don't remember if the relevant comments actually applied to MJs or s10 junk. Either way though, you don't want to use the wrong spacing.

Heck, the spacing on an XJ axle is closer, and people have actually just bolted in XJ axles to get a quick spring-over conversion. Then they wonder why it rides and handles funny and the spring bushings wear out ...

gogmorgo Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Every time you think you made something idiot-proof, the world comes up with a better idiot. 37 minutes ago, Eagle said: Signature line seen on another forum: "Any time you think people can't possibly be that dumb ... they'll prove you wrong." No offense meant to the OP of course. There's a ton of misinformation out there... I've probably even been guilty of spreading it myself unknowingly.
