SeanAK Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 WOW, I just might have to put my 92 Eliminator on EBAY! It only has 97000 original miles and it's an auto....
JohnQ Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 WOW, I just might have to put my 92 Eliminator on EBAY! It only has 97000 original miles and it's an auto.... Got any pictures? :brows:
JohnQ Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Less than 2 hours to go! The seller sent me some pics of the under carrige. I can tell that Virginia uses salt on their roads, the truck needs new shocks, and there are a couple leaks I would want a closer look at before I gave them any money. Not a $7000 truck, still nice, but I would only pay maybe $5000 max.
Pete M Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Looks like the current top bidder has 0 feedback.
89eliminator Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 $7200 and the reserve isn't even met yet!! it is definitely the nicest mj i have seen but i think that it is way to much. I think its worth $5000 tops.
rockhardzj Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Ive seen nicer. Not many, but they all went for under 4g's. This guy is psycho for setting the reserve that high, IMHO.
mfpdm Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Jon,I think that $7000 isn't unreasonable, it's a great truck and I have used most of the tools proposed here in the search for my truck two years ago with no success. I'll say it again if someone can find an equal or better truck for less using these tools post up the link! It isn't likely that anyone will give this guy his reserve so after the auction I would email him with my best offer and leave it with that. Good Luck! Here's a couple I found pretty quick. Maybe out of your area but just as nice looking and cheaper. http://westky.craigslist.org/car/377818946.html http://charlotte.craigslist.org/car/405396523.html forgot one http://yakima.craigslist.org/car/402525379.html

That is one sweet MJ!
jeepdoggydogB Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 Too bad the author deleted it(it probably sold) but the one from Kentucky at $5,900 with a freshly rebuilt engine and new paint looked like a good deal. Your search product has produced some good deals in the 3-4K range as promised but none of them are as nice as the ebay Eliminator only the Kentucky truck came close for me.

Your search product has produced some good deals in the 3-4K range as promised but none of them are as nice as the ebay Eliminator only the Kentucky truck came close for me. The truck in Kentucky is already sold. I emailed the guy yesterday. The final bid on the eliminator was $7300.
48wilys Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 The truck in Kentucky is already sold. I emailed the guy yesterday. The final bid on the eliminator was $7300. And it did not meet reserve!
JohnQ Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I emailed the seller inquiring if the truck was still for sale and how much. I got an email back saying that the reserve was set at $8900 and it was sold today at the dealership. $8900!
JeepcoMJ Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 bull$#!& it didn't sell for that. if it did, the guy buying it was a tool. no offense, but I don't think that thing was worth over $7000. not one penny
Pete M Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Keep in mind that there are people in this world with more money than they know what to do with. Heck, maybe Jeep bought it. :hmm:
Pete M Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Also, in my book I'd pay extra for an original paint job. I've seen too much shadiness in this world and now re-paints scare me. Far too much they can be hiding.

Far too much they can be hiding. I'm with you on the paint. not a fan of re-paints unless I do it myself. that means I need to learn how to paint...cause I'm NOT ever paying for another paint job again.

Got any pictures? :brows: I am in the process of putting the 99 front clip on it, I will post pics in a few, in the MJ Long term projects
jeepdoggydogB Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 Good God if it sold for $8,900 that would be the most I have ever heard for anyone paying for a stock MJ.
Rob S Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Well its a catch 22 on the value of these little trucks. Just like anyone else, I like to buy them cheap, but its nice to see them worth some money out there. I can assure you that when my MJ is all done, it would take a pretty penny for me to part with it.
Red Mistress Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Reviving this thread. Looking to add this truck (or exteremely nice 89-92 Red 4x4) to my Red Jeep collection. Anyone remember who bought it? Member here? Folklore says that when it didn't meet reserve the car dealer sold it for 10K. The origional owner worked for Jeep in Toledo, OH. ...
Red Mistress Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Anyone save pictures from old auction? anything?

Here is a Super rare red 1992 Eliminator in California. I would definately check the VIN as I wasn't aware that Eliminators came with chrome bumpers. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/1512093097.html
