hedbutter Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 I was installing a backup camera and new stereo in the Comanche this weekend and found the attached electrical connection that went nowhere. This was near the fuse box on the driver's side. Any ideas what it is? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
hedbutter Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 I was kinda thinking that too, but all switches (to my knowledge) work. Would it be something with the emergency brake light? I know that it doesnt work, and has new bulbs.
dasbulliwagen Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Appears to be the contactor for the park brake switch light.

Ωhm Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 What color code does the wire have for that connector? Connect a DVOM between connector and ground. Cycle IGN SW thru all positions and determine if voltage is present. If voltage is present and your feeling lucky, ground that connector, using a fused (start with 5A) jumper wire and see if parking brake bulb lights.
mjeff87 Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 That is the brake light switch. It attaches to the parking brake assembly:
8valvehero Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 ^this. The metal tab just slides sideways in to place

That wire should complete the ground circuit all he has to do is touch it to ground in the bulb should light
HOrnbrod Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Also, this switch just applies a ground to the dash indicator, there's no voltage on it. EDIT: Never-mind - already posted..
hedbutter Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 Thanks everyone! That's it, I couldn't see the mount in a brief check, but it did activate the light!. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
