gogmorgo Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 The 4x4 shifter block off plate is also suggestive (but not conclusive) it came out of an Eliminator, as they were still weren't available with 4x4 in '89.
Minuit Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I think I remember the console in an 88 Eliminator I recently harvested for parts having an ashtray :dunno: But yeah, I have a Cherokee console in both of my trucks. You won't even notice the ashtray, just do something to stop the air from flowing through the console or else you'll have very cold feet :)

I just had a different model one shipped to me from IN and it was about that much. Short of boxing it up and taking it to a shipping place I can only estimate. Would you want me to get a firm shipping price? As for it being a Cherokee console I can only say that it's coming out of an 89 eliminator, had the parking brake delete and yes it's possible that the PO swapped it but I cannot say they did or didn't. You won't even notice the ashtray, just do something to stop the air from flowing through the console or else you'll have very cold feet :) Not true, using the correct plenum (the piece below the dash, in front of the console) gives you floor heat and using the ducting under the console gives heat to the rear of the cab. I have mine set up like this, (XJ configuration) no complaints, actually keeps jacket and gloves warm behind the seat.
