jimoshel Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Why is it we can send a man to the moon but can't invent shoe laces that don't break when you're in a hurry to get dressed?
dj5 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 why has technology changed so much but yet we still tie shoes like they did in 3000bc?

gogmorgo Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I once had a pair of boot laces with a kevlar core. They didn't break, but eventally the polyester(?) sheath over them wore through and the bare kevlar didn't much care for holding knots, so I went back to cheaper "normal" laces.
jimoshel Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 Can't wear "slip ons" Need something that will stay on my feet when I step in a pile cow poo.
Rockfrog Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 One word ... Velcro Works for my little girl, and they last as long as the shoe. Besides, if cow crap is the worry, looks ain't a concern. Personally I grew up wearing gumboots on the farm, no need for laces. But you already covered slip on.
neohic Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I think Jim might have a problem with sinking into the sand around his place with those. :laughin:
HOrnbrod Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 You're right Ben. These would be more suitable for Jim in that sandy terrain. They will also stay put while walking through the cow piles.
jimoshel Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 WITH ALL THE COMEDIANS out of work in this country, how did two of them manage to wind up on CC? And by the way, Her toe nails are the wrong shade for those shoes.
neohic Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 ... And by the way, Her toe nails are the wrong shade for those shoes. ... but the right shade for stepping in cow $#!&! :rotf:
TheDude Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Use paracord laces. They're cheap and will last a long time.
