Headlight bezels

Recommended Posts

That's what I figured. There' a set of chromed ones on ebay, metal, not plastic reason I asked. Maybe I could just swap the whole header?

I think the metal headlamp bezels you saw are for an FSJ Cherokee.

Just stuck the chrome grill and bezels off my 92 XJ onto the 88 MJ. There are 2 tabs on the back of the bezels that have to be cut off/ground down in order for the fitment to be right. Then drill 2 new mounting holes in the body to accept the new location for screws to secure the bezel. No sweat. Soon as you hold the 92 chrome in place you'll see what needs to happen.

The whole panel is plug n pray.

Sorry, no it isn't.

The headlight bezels and the grille are all separate parts on the Cherokee and Comanche. 1984 through 1996 all look the same from a distance, but the later ones were changed so that the horizontal trim strip across the top of the headlights and grill was incorporated into the headlight bezels and grille rather than being a separate part. I thought Chrysler made that change beginning in 1990, but it might not have happened until 1991.

{Edit to add} Quadratec shows the years as 84-90 and 91-96.

I believe crash meant changing the whole header panel .

Possibly he was, but this thread is about headlight bezels, not header panels. And the header panel changed in 91 along with the grille and bezels.

The seven piece was used until 92, then the three piece was used then on. It takes a little grinding and modifications, but i made it work on my MJ, I like the look of the chrome

Wrong. Seven piece used until 1990; 91 and up had the three piece.

I know exactly what you're talking about because I am looking for those little corner bezels to complete the trim stripping above and below the side market lights but I cannot find them anywhere! Do you happen to know where I could find them??
