xjrev10
I plan to NOT use carpet or vinyl floor in my truck for now.. But.... The mini console doesn't fit very nice w/o it....my plan was for the time being was to cut up a old black floor mat to use for now. Maybe someday I'll get carpet. I just see it as a unnecessary expense right now. What have YOU done? Truck has spray in bedliner floor.
Strokermjcomanche
How about trimming the console with some weatherstripping to act as a gasket?
neohic
How about trimming the console with some weatherstripping to act as a gasket? I like that idea and I thought about it with my old '89 Eliminator... ended up just leaving it with a giant gap because I didn't want to deal with it. Haven't looked at what's in there for a while, but you think there's any way to lower the mounts for the console?
xjrev10
Probably should have stated but I have a black mini console. There will be no modifications to the console itself.... Weatherstripping idea may work.. It's about 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch gap.
Tommy
I had a big rubber mat from a pizza hut in an old full size Chevy. Didn't like it. I like the weather stripping idea.
Eagle
Truck has spray in bedliner floor. That's what I did in the trail truck. But I don't have a center console.
xjrev10
I haven't looked I to this yet due to working every day for the last week.... Heater hose? Black of course.
xjrev10
Well the weatherstripping idea worked. I was able to find a certain type that worked great. No it's not a perfect fit, but it's 100 times better then the cousole just floating there. Still sticks up a little but on the drivers side... I'm still gonna count it as a successful MJ project. That stuff wasn't cheap tho.. $17 for 4 feet.
