We shall never forget...

It's hard to believe that was thirteen years ago. It's one of those things that you will always remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when it happened, like Kennedy's assassination.

I was on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands at the time, and because of the time zone we were up all night watching with horror and anger as the tragedy unfolded. I for one will never forget.

I remember that day like it was yesterday, I was in class, and my teacher had turned on the news on showing it live, the principal came over the intercom and annouced for all teachers to turn off their tvs, my teacher refused and said this is history; one of the best teachers I ever had, I'm glad he went against the principal and left the tv on. On another note, I actually visited NYC for the first time ever this past summer, and I stopped by the twin towers memorial, it was pretty depressing being there and just thinking about what had happened almost 13 years earlier. Here are a couple pics for yall.

I was stationed on the USS Blue Ridge (7th Flt Command Ship) in Yokosuka Japan. I was in charge of the Admirals Command Center and I remember being woken up by the phone. One of my watchstanders said I should turn on my TV.... my wife and I sat speechless for over 30 minutes just watching until it dawned on me I better get dressed and get to the ship. It was a long night and even a longer day that followed..... Nice setup there ComancheKid45.... God Bless America.
