Why Do All Xj's And Mj's In The Junkyard Not Have The Front Fascias Anymore?

Seriously at the junkyard every xj and the only mj had no front fascia at all and the only one there was siting on the hood in pieces.

Because off road (ab)use is hard on fiberglass.

Well even just pushing/ leaning/ and trail use can damage old fiberglass...and they did make as much dana 35s as well...

I'd also point out that the aftermarket header panels don't fit as well as they should, meaning the factory ones are in demand. Not to mention most collisions involve the front end of the vehicle.

That's why they are always gone around here. People rebuilding wrecked ones. Some companies come in and clean house too. I always can find pre97 but 97+ are always stripped clean

Indeed. I swear, some used parts company around here has junk yard employees on the take.  They snatch late model header panels before they hit the yards and sell them to the parts company.  I've only been able to buy ONE from a junk yard.  The rest came from jeeps I bought to part out from private parties, or from part outs on Craigslist.

The only 1997+ XJ to come into the local junk yard in the past three months had the header panel removed by lunch time the same day it arrived. I even asked special permission from my manager to make a slightly extended lunch run. Yep, it was gone that fast.
