Wildman
Well....some one pointed me it that direction, I posted the site last week, and several have had problems with parts, like JohnQ on the cargo light. So, Yesterday, I called them, and found out that every part that they listed on the web site for the MJ comanche is "dis-continued" I asked about the box side panel....." Ah, man, their dis-continued" wheel flairs?...."Man. that don't exist, try a junk yard" Any parts at all for the MJ?...."Man, that all out of date, try a junk yard" Why do you have the web site up?....."Man, I don't know" Yea, very helpful sale rep, I'm thinking that he owns a junk yard  So, for us parts minded people that are looking for any type of MJ part, I guest that just leaves us to the junk yards, and - http://www.car-part.com/ Guest it's time to clean out some bookmarks
feerocknok
Guess it's time for the a piece of property to collect some MJs. Thanks for giving them a call! Has anyone asked the dealership about a light yet?
HOrnbrod
Well....some one pointed me it that direction, I posted the site last week, and several have had problems with parts, like JohnQ on the cargo light. That's strange. I just received from them today a switch bezel cover for an MJ specific cargo light (cargo lts. + fog lts.). Also recently have purchased a new set of MJ tail lights w. the chrome outlines. On both it took a couple of weeks but they delivered. I have ordered stuff from them and got a "discontinued" response, but not often. Weird............

I have since spent 20 percent more and ordered through a local dealership who seemed to be able to get the part.
Duner
The local dealers are accessing parts from their local hubs that may still have inventory so if direct connection says its discontinued you might check with you local dealer and find the parts guy that knows what's going on. My dad has discussed collecting some MJ's and 2 door XJ's for parts and storing them at the ranch before all the parts disappear. He's not concerned with the 4 door XJ as there are 3 on every corner around here.
DirtyComanche
What I hate is that my local dealer can't even search for discontinued parts. So, if it is discontinued, you can't get it. Even if it does exist. Although, the pricing on the stuff they do have is stupid. A renix rad is listed at $460. Tranny cooler lines are $260 each. A coolant bottle is $106. MIchael Stead Jeep in Walnut Creek Ca was kind enough to go back to old Microfiche to find the old part number. Great grouip in their parts department
JeeperjohnfromPA
It's sad when you go to the local JEEP dealer and try to order brake cables. They say they are discontinued. But you go the local Napa store they have them. :huh???: Funy thing to they ain't even expensive! $44.45 for all three cables! not that that is cheap, but I thought it was fair price.
JeepcoMJ
My local jeep dealership is owned by a fool, but run by a pretty nice guy...who owns a comanche. I needed a lower cruise control cable, he tracked one down in cincinnati for me, and got it to me for $24 including new upper cable and speed sensor. and he had to resort to microfiche. hes currently looking for a cargo light, and I'm confident that he will find me one. Yes he can. My dealer can, and they all have the same system. He just doesn't want to bother. My dealer's parts guys like old Cherokees and Comanches. They'll check parts for me. The dealer computer parts system will not only tell them what's in the warehouse, it also tells them what's in other dealers' stock. I needed a rear bumper mounting bracket (don't recall which side) awhile back. Discontinued, of course. They found me one at a dealer in Arizona, one in Seattle, and one in New Hampshire. Gave me all three phone numbers and let me make the best deal I could find.
rockhardzj
Try a junk yard out in ohio called Davey's Jeep Parts. http://daveysjeeps.com/index.html He's a great guy to work with, and has over 350 Jeeps that he's parting. I know for a fact he has probably 10+ MJ's, so He should have a decent variety of parts, and I find his prices to be pretty good, and little need to negotiate. He's a jeep guy and not an a$$hat
