neohic
Here we are, gents!... another month of MJOTM is upon us! For those who didn’t notice from what was left of last month, we’ve had a bit of a change over. With that in mind, we couldn’t help but notice another change happening within our pages. I present… RyanL's 1989/99!!! MODEL AND YEAR: 1989 LWB Pioneer originally, now swapped to 1999 ENGINE & PERFORMANCE: 1999 4.0L H.O. full rebuild with about 25 miles on the clock DRIVETRAIN: AW4, NP242J, 8.25 rear, Dana 30 front stock gears all around COOLING: Stock ELECTRICAL & IGNITION: Stock STEERING: Stock SUSPENSION: MJ heavy duty coils in the front, Metric Tonne leafs in the back INTERIOR: 1999 Agate, electric buckets, Sony head unit, etc. BRAKES: 1999 Stock LIGHTING: Sealed beams with possible future H4 conversion WHEELS/TIRES: ATX Ledge's wrapped in Michelin LTX A/T 2's MISCELLANEOUS: JCR Offroad back bumper, smoked blinkers, black trim all around The original The finished product Round I First round interior The beginning of Round II A clean engine is a happy engine! The tear down Round II ensues And the rebuild draws to a close  Best MJ story: I'm torn between two short stories. The first is that before the 99' swap, the truck was still 2wd. A trio of girls got stuck in a ditch on a rainy evening right outside of campus. One of my buddies called me and told me to bring the 'Manche over. A bunch guys were over there in there jacked up Nissan's and Toyota's and such but no one could seem to get them out; they just kept spinning their tires. I pulled up, they all kind looked over with expressions like "Is this guy serious?" So I hooked up the tow strap, and pulled them out first try. Everybody just kind of stared. Hail the mighty 4.O! The second is when people ask me what I drive I promptly say, "A Jeep truck." They fire back with, "Jeep never made a truck!" Never fails to get a smile out of me :rotf: What owner loves best about CC: The camaraderie. It's like a frat for Jeeps :rotfl2: Jeep on friends  ●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●● Ryan, I’m super happy to be the first to say congratulations! Between you and your dad, it truly is an amazing transformation you’ve done not once but twice on this truck. “Twice?” you might say?! Yup!... threads: Stage 1: http://comancheclub.com/topic/10884-89-mj-the-christmas-jeep/ Stage 2: http://comancheclub.com/topic/38131-89-99-conversion-picture-heavy-version/ So there you have it. This is your MJOTM for September, CC! Have a look… say some stuff… all that good stuff. Congrats, Ryan! You deserve it! -Ben
