skidoo_j
Not in my area. If it was a 4 cyc diesel yes there would be people fighting for it at that price.
onlyinajeep726
Yea, I didn't think so, especially for having 200k on the odo. I'm just going to say f*#& it and do a 4.0L/AX-15 swap on my '86 MJ... I know everyone says it's a lot of work but I'm just done with this 2.5L. I bought it to be my fuel saving DD and I haven't been able to drive it since I got the damn thing. Just replaced the fuel pump and did the WJ brake booster upgrade. Took it for a test drive and it's sluggish as a mother. Would hardly maintain 55mph on a backroad. It's old and worn out I suppose.
TheDirtyJeep401
I don't think its worth it. Wish I had that valve cover though..................
HKB3
I'd sell you mine for $500 and it is still in the truck so you can hear it run and drive it. It is a 92 and in a Comanche, 2.5/AX-5. It is 2wd but I will include a 231(21 spline)
zackcj7
I'll have a whole 2.5l '86 MJ 4x4 for sale soon with a rebuilt motor for about $500.
mvusse
I bought an entire running 4wd truck with half the mileage for half that.

What all is wrong with it? I live near Raleigh, NC so the ATL is a far drive from here but $500 for something that is in decent shape (assuming it is) might have my attention. It's this one http://comancheclub.com/topic/37403-86-comanche-new-project/?hl=zackcj7 . But i'm returning it to stock. It'll have the stock suspension and 30 and 35 with 3.55 gears. Stock wheels, no winch. It has some of the usual MJ problems. Rust hole in driver's floorboard, some wiring issues, interior needs attention, a couple small dents and dings, etc.. But it starts up and runs smooth.

rmoore1031
Around here that would be like $400-500. They are pretty common.
