Comanche County
Seems like the spammers are after the MJOTM thread lately. Good job keeping them off here.
Geonovast
They seem to pop up randomly, but moreso on recently created or bumped threads. Lucky for us, we seem to have at least one mod online at any given time, so they're deleted pretty quickly.
HOrnbrod
Can't kill them fast if they are not reported fast. If not killed, they can multiply like roaches. Good job by everyone reporting the bastids.
Keyav8r
Don - who should we report them to? Any of the admins/moderators or a specific person/ address?
Pete M
at the bottom of every post (right about in the middle) is a button, "report". by just clicking it you'll let all admin/mods know about it.
onlyinajeep726
I've been working that "Report" button to death lately haha.
Biotex
I too have been using it quite a bit. Was wondering though... Is it ok to use it at 2 or 3 AM? I'd not want to wake anybody if it is tied to a beeper or phone or something. Not sure how it works, so just asking. at the bottom of every post (right about in the middle) is a button, "report". by just clicking it you'll let all admin/mods know about it.
Pete M
all it does on my computer is flash a little red alert in the upper corner of the forums. nothing more.
richasco
Another forum that I am on found that the spammers are gaining access through the html code in peoples signatures. When the admins disabled the html feature the spam stopped immediately.

gogmorgo
Potentially one member had a "bad" link in their sig? Few people got referred to the "wrong" site from the forum, and the forum got hit for spam? Just a guess on my part. All I can say is that y'all have been doing a good job of keeping up with it. Haven't personally seen any spam for almost a week.
