Mitch Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 if you log into myspace you will then be re-redirected to the pictures he wants you to see. I saw them, if you own an MJ youve seen what the pictures are of, lol.
Maveric Posted March 11, 2007 Author Posted March 11, 2007 yeah, the pictures are of nice things, like the tailgate and the symbols, stuff like that... too bad i can't hot link them...oh well, if ya can see them congrats if not....don't know what to tell ya. anyway that darkish blue gray paint is mine, now if i can find someone to paint it the same...any suggestions? and any idea how i can get the factory bed light assembly hooked up? that is if i find one in the yard (hah)
feerocknok Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Just for giggles, I'll try: And the gold rear letters: Those work for non-myspacers?
Pete M Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Yup, I can see those. And my 88 is an Oly "edition" too. :D
Maveric Posted March 12, 2007 Author Posted March 12, 2007 where could i get the vinyl replacement for the other side? and no one has made any comments on where to get that painted the same...and how rare is that paint? anyone know the AMC/Crysler paint chip code thingy?
rocketwheels Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 ...the picture of the factory winch bumper in the owners manual shows a stock bumper with a slot cut in it and it is spaced out from the grill about its own depth. aparently there was some sort of space filler / extended bumper mounts between the bumper and body along with the winch mounts....I'll find the manual and scan a pic of it. I do have the Butt Ugly factory Brush Guard and the factory plastic bedliner along with a dealer installed Dodge Dakota cab fairing with fog lights... http://images22.fotki.com/v518/fileInH9 ... leted8.jpg
Maveric Posted March 12, 2007 Author Posted March 12, 2007 who wouldn't want that bumper? why wasn't it more popular? did they charge a fortune? and why did they replace comanche's with that stupid and over priced dakota? here's to the hidden winch bumper, and the true truck of all time, the comanche. It's easy to be a truck, it's hard to be a Jeep
mjeff87 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I've got (what I just found out to be) a piece of the factory towbar bracket from an XJ mounted on mine....got it out of the 'yard for $3 or so. It attaches at the towhook bolts, and basically acts as a frame stiffener for the front of the framehorns. The receivers at either end are where the towbar would have attached. Image Not Found
feerocknok Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I'd like that tonneau more than the winch bumper.
Kenosha Warrior Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 screw that Feerocknok. I want it all :brows:
mjeff87 Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 flooring is overrated....my driverside comes to you now courtesy of Lowe's :D Jeff
Oizarod115 Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 flooring is overrated....my driverside comes to you now courtesy of Lowe's :D Jeff flooring is overrated.... my passenger side holds more water than a bottle of EVIAN.. :D
Kenosha Warrior Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Mine should have came courtesy of a garbage night scavenger hunt and finding an old fridge :D Can you say enamel floors! (I can't, it was being a weiner when we tried to cut it apart to patch the floor so I just used sheet metal
Maveric Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 gee, whats with the floor problems? i would just put plexiglass over the whole so you can get that glass bottom car...oooh look at all the reflectors :laughin:
JeepcoMJ Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 plexiglass would pe pretty awesome...especially w/ a drain in it so when you go muddin w/ windows open you can just hose that sh*t out!
mjeff87 Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 A former NAXJA guy did the rear floor of his XJ with plexi, right over the diff, so he could self-spot over rocks. I'll see if his pics are still up over there and post the thread if so. Jeff edit: pics are gone, but here's the thread- http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.p ... ight=plexi
Maveric Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 you know that bumper doesn't actually look duckbillish it actually makes the car look more like Jay Leno...thats my opinion anyway. I'm also guessing the license plate hung above that hole? although it would look pretty interesting to hang over the hole...
