Buzzer To Remind You To Turn Headlights Out?

Would my 89 MJ have this buzzer and if yes where would it be located and whats it called so I can get one. As I get older I forget things much more often.

If your MJ is a Pioneer or Chief it should have it. If it's a base model it does not.

Its a door chime module. The main solid state circuit is an extension of the fuse box.

It's called a chime module and is located next to the fuse panel. There are two varieties, the blue case and the black case. The blue case has the headlamp warning; the black case does not. Plentiful at the junkyards or I'll send the part number if you want to buy one.

Well I checked ebay no luck the Junk yards around me are greedy and miserable anyone have one has to be the blue.

um, not to highjack, buuuuut my 90 has auto turn off headlamps. If I turn the truck off with the headlights on and THEN push the switch in they will stay on for about 2 or 3 min and automatically shut off.

 

but IIRC i have never heard a buzzer for my headlights, but i have heard one for my seatbelt.

Different module - the headlight delay is controlled by the Head Lamp Sentinel module. Has nothing to do with the chime module.

Even though, it still suprised me the first time i discovered it. I was like "What? No way, headlight delay on a 90 JEEP! Awesome. 8) "

Don -do you have the PN for the black box? Assume Cherokees have them too and they will work on a 88 Pioneer?
