What's the last year for 2dr XJ?

I've been looking out for a 2dr XJ but I want the latest model possible. Didn't they produce these up to 2001? Please chime in if you know the answer.

Looks like the 96 model was the last US 2-door model according to my parts manuals. But the exports had two door models available through 2001. Maybe you can pick one up in Mexico? Si?

2001. They are for sale all the time on Craigs.

There were made in the USA up until 2001 mainly seen as part of fleet vehicles. There are several 1997 to 2001 two door models in the city maintenance parking garages around here. The higher end trim levels were generally only offered on four door models.

They were made until 2001 although 97-01 2 door models are much more rare.

Interesting. My Mopar 97 and up XJ parts manuals don't even show a 2-door XJ. :dunno:

Well I guess I'll keep looking but I have yet to see a 97-01 for sale in the San Diego area. It doesn't have to have every bell & whistle but power windows and locks would be nice. Thanks for the info guys!

01 was the last year for the 2 door........not even made in china......

Found a '99 in the junkyard with manual windows even. Thinking about an extended cab project this winter.
