tmanhollister
the rear ujoint blew the caps off itself the other day. not sure why. when i was looking at the yoke, there was nothing on it to keep the ujoint centered. usually there are little raised spots that hold the caps from moving? the only thing hold the ujoint to the yoke are the 2 straps, and its pretty impossible to get it centered and stay there. any ideas? Yes, there should be. There are raised tabs on the pinion yoke u-joint cup to hold them in. You have a D44, right? I'd pick up and install a new u-bolt pinion yoke and seal like this one on Ebay HERE. Since you have a D44 there's no need to worry about the pinion crush sleeve because the D44 uses shims. Just install the new yoke and re-torque to specs.

Gibby
How do you like the flares? Do they hold up well to abuse? I'm looking at buying a set if nobody has really heard anything bad about them.
tmanhollister
I haven't really beat on them, but they are pretty thick and I would think they could hold up well.

neohic
:agree: That's a great example of a different twist on body panels! I'd love to have an excuse to put a set on an MJ but I've got plans for all my trucks. Guess that means I'll need to get another someday... I think it would be a great alternative for our rusty trucks of the north. Yours looks great!
tmanhollister
Thanks guys. Yeah it's definitely a different look for the mj.

Definitely need to upgrade the steering as I can see that puny tierod bending pretty easily. Here's some pictures.
