There's a jeep graveyard north of Proctor MN that has 4 MJ's just relaxing. 2 of them have damn good body's for MN rust. The other 2 are in shambles. Still got some nice interior pieces from them though.

Turns out the bushwacker flares weren't long enough for the rear. Ended up getting 2 sets of rear TJ flares to make the tire fitment more legal. Still have to get them installed but cold weather is holding me back.

This is the fun part... Those connectors are hiding. The previous owner must of done one hell of a jacked up swap or something. I've driven it around town a bit and it does ok when you shift if manually. Last night I took it up to highway speeds and now the trans slips and leaks when it didn't do either before.

How High Can You Go Until Sye

I had the doesch techs on my xj and loved them. Built in bump stops on the shocks. The ones I had were set up for 4" of up travel and 14" of down travel if I remember correctly. -

All you guys are crazy. I'll just deal with my snow!

I replaced the TPS and still nothing... I can't find any power out of the 4 prong off the TPS. I did get it adjusted off the 3 prong and she runs awesome.

I use to do it in my old XJ all the time. The only difference is we'd take turns and keep the dirt road we were playing on blocked off on both sides of the twists. We even graded the road when we were done.

Brand new TPS properly adjusted didn't fix it. Everything I can find around the trans is plugged in on both ends. Even tried replacing the fuse and still nothing... Trans is full of fluids. It moves fine in 1st and reverse on the selctor. If you put it in 3rd or OD, it hardly moves. You can feel it click into first, but after that it's revving up and hardly moving. Been working on this for the past 2 days now and still can't figure it out... I adjusted the TPS off the 3 prong connector. I could not get a reading out of the 4 prong connector.

I might be in for 2. How would the money be handled?

Last time I had that issue my cat in my xj was clogged. Good ol broom stick will clear her right out if you don't have to pass emissions. I just left the empty canister on incase a stateboy wanted to check my exhaust over.

Drivers side floor board was replaced and not very well... I'm going to fix that probably in the spring. Behind the dash is a nightmare. The only gauge that works in the speedometer. The wiring for the radio was hacked to bits so off for some schematics I go. It doesn't help that it's currently at 400hp and 900tq at the wheels. I plan on upgraded the turbo and injectors when they decide to die. My end goal is around 550hp and around 1300+ at the wheels. Might as well show you guys a picture. Oh ya... It's a stick

It runs good now but still not much for power. I am use to my turned up duramax though... Pulled the farthest back injector wires off and found a bent pin. Straightened that out and the miss went away. Next on the list of things to try is a new fuel filter. Still can't get the transmission to shift the best yet. It's full of fluids now so I took it for another drive. I'm starting to think that the trans cooler has a bunch of air in it. Hopefully that will cure itself and she might start shifting better. Found a death wobble at 25mph... Bad enough for me to slam on the brakes. Almost shook me off woodland ave. That issue belongs to the upper track bar link. It moves back and forth a good 3/4". Needless to say I'm not going to drive it again until I get a new track bar on it. Leaving the battery unhooked, until I get the new track bar, in hopes that if the trans has a computer it will reset it.

Picked up a set of knock off bushwacker pocket flares for 200 bucks. Hopefully I can make them look decent since the fenders are already cut up pretty well.
-
How do you like the flares? Do they hold up well to abuse? I'm looking at buying a set if nobody has really heard anything bad about them.

I thought I updated my profile information. I live in Superior Wi.

I have no fender flares and previous owner hacked the body a bit so I'm hoping to find some used pocket flares to make work. If anybody knows anything else that should work, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Took it for a short ride which was only about a mile. It has a bad miss and no power. It moves on it's own but could'nt get out of it's own way if it needed to. Anybody have any ideas? New plugs in it and all the wires are on properly. Took the sway bar off and decided to do a little flex test. I'm suprised it did this well. Shouldn't do this again on a full tank though... Lost about $4 worth of gas. Brakes work for the most part but I think I still have more bleeding to do. Atleast the brakes actually work now.

88 MJ, 6" lift, 33" tires, locked front and rear, bucket seats, rebuilt 4.0 with a cam and 200 miles on it... Still finding out more as I go along and fix things. Traded it for a subaru I had. I'll post up more pictures as I go along. Pulled most of the blue pieces off and painted them black. Most of the dash was painted blue by previous owner... I'll start de-ricing that sometime soon. Cleaned up the tail lights pretty well but they need to be removed and cleaned properly. I plan on painting the truck orange sometime within the next few weeks. Hopefully I'll have my first wheeling trip out of the way before it receives paint. I still have to blead the brakes and check all the fluids for it to be mobile. I'm on the hunt for a set of mirrors with mounting bolts if anybody has any. Also in need of a head liner.
