xjrev10 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Hey Pete can you ad this function for us fancy phone users? Its free for the forum to ad.
Pete M Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 not a clue what that is or how I'd go about getting it integrated. :dunno:
lostissues Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 tapatalk is an app for smart phones, it is made to browse forums and make it easier to do so on the phones. http://www.tapatalk.com/

Pete M Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 still working on it. hung up on the instructions asking to purge the forum cache... :hmm: I'm not exactly willing to do that until I understand it

Pete M Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 downloading it was easy. uploading it to the site is more challenging.
SubSonic Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I've never used Tapatalk personally, although I've seen it integrated many times. Purging the cache is not a big deal. Basically the forum hangs on to a bunch of pages (old, unmodified ones) so that they load faster, and it doesn't have to "produce" them. Basically deleting the cache will allow this program to start fresh, and the forum will commence to add cache as it did. It will produce no noticeable effect to the users. However, what is the benefit of Tapatalk, say when using it on an iPhone? Edit: Sorry for the minor revival.
shelbyluvv Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Pete, hit up Alec, Bigalpha, he was a big help to me when I was on another board dealing with computer issues.

You don't have to zoom in on things to click them.
Automan2164 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 We know, we know... We were getting there, but it requires cracking open the skeleton of the site... And the big boss is on vacation. Rob
lostissues Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I know that this site doesnt use it (yet :D ) but someone might get some use out of this Tapatalk for free this looks to be legit. download the app getjar from getjar.com and it has some apps for free including tapatalk. discussion http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthr...id=0&t=3451636 I updated from an older version I acquired and it looks to be working fine. if you want I'm sure you can delete the getjar app once you install tapatalk
Pete M Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I emailed our resident phpbb guru and hopefully he'll see it and reply.
