haha...just scored a OEM Comanche roll bar off of craigslist for 50 bucks! Just got home with it...I don't have it installed yet but will get some pics up soon. I love craigslist, between my 50 dollar comanche roll bar and my 100 dollar MJ Dana 44 I think I'm on a roll!

the roll bar is for a LWB....my truck is a SWB. So I am either gonna cut it down to make it fit my SWB or either sell or trade it. I could not pass it up for the price, I already checked it out and I don't think it would be hard at all to cut it down to make it fit my SWB. Oh and this thing is in perfect shape...not a single dent or scratch.

You may have a hard time. The departure angle of the wheel well legs is different between the LWB and SWB, so it's not just a matter of cutting it down. Let us know how you make out. Good luck. :cheers:

ya i checked it out...it looks pretty simple. Instead of mounting to the front of the wheel tub if you cut it down and change the angle of the cut it should easily mount to the top of the wheel tub.

or, you could sell that rarity to a LB owner and keep on the hunt for SB version. I'm just sayin'. Once you start slicin' and dicin', it's not a stock MJ unit anymore. :dunno: you might as well start with an aftermarket one.

As silly as I think the OEM roll bars look, I must agree with Pete. There are many more SWB roll bars out there. What you have is even more rare than a rust free bed and floor boards.

Tis why I asked. Don't cut up a LWB roll bar, they are a rarity. I would see if you could find someone with a SWB rollbar to trade, or sell the LWB one outright for cash to buy a SWB. I know there are a few members who would spill blood to get ahold of a LWB bar.
