Boilermaker
In order to minimize trips to the jy looking for C4C MJs, i downloaded the C4C database from the CARS website(found here). I searched for any vehicle listed as a Comanche or whose VIN started with 1JT or 1J7 and dropped the results into a spreadsheet. Someone else may find the list useful, so here is a link to the spreadsheet. The file is only about 500kb, but the server is kind of slow. Some sad stats: Traded in by year 1986: 47 1987: 73 1988: 127 1989: 120 1990: 57 1991: 43 1992: 23 Total: 490 There were 24 other vehicles that were either: -listed as MJs but their according to an online Jeep VIN decoder their VIN wasn't for an MJ -listed as other vehicles but according to the VIN decoder were MJs Lowest Mileage: 23,798 Highest Mileage: 575,302 Average Mileage: 155,191 Traded in for another Jeep: 20 Most For in Make: Toyota (90) Most Traded for Model: Honda Accord (26) Least Expensive Purchase: $10,685.00 (Nissan Versa) Most Expensive Purchase: $43,250.00 (Lexus RX 450h AWD)

whowey
I wonder how accurate the "disposal facility" listing is.... There are some names that just look like private names on there.
mfpdm
2.5L didnt qualify which means all but 47 were 4.0L trucks :( That is what I thought but, then found out that if it was 4wd with the 2.5L or if it was a 2wd with auto tranny, they qualified. Also the 91's and 92's 2wd 2.5L with 5spd qualified. I still think I saw some that didn't match those, but then again, how many of us have swapped drivetrains. I'm assuming that the drivetrain column is going by the VIN and not what was actually in the truck. Anyhow, I'm sad that our country was so wasteful and people can be made to do anything if you dangle a little green in their face. :( Next will be Gas for Geezers. Turn in one of your old broken down relatives and receive a Citgo gas card.
shelbyluvv
I know for a fact that at least one 2.5 SWB MJ was turned in. It is in a yard in PA. I have the tail lights out of it.
