i was in a couple target shooting leagues when i was younger, i had a marlin bolt action .22 and a remington semi-auto .22, both with bushnell scopes.. i ended up selling them both right after i got out of college, mostly because i didnt really ever have any time to go down to the range anymore.

CW if the world ever looks like it is coming to an end I am coming to your place. Should be able to hold up in their for awhile it looks like. I have a Savage 12 guage, a .22 rifle and for the hell of it an SKS updated for safety issues and a composite stock to keep the flicker tail (ground squirrels) under control here at the airport.

I have a few, and use them often (target shooting). I don’t need to validate my manhood by killing defenseless animals.

In my left hand: Kel Tec PLR 16 (shoots a 223 round)

right hand: Tec 22

also have a S&W 3906 my fav. (9mm), a small Star 380., and several BB guns.

my moms husband has a tec22, I tried to talk him out of it but hes not ready to part with it.

they are a cool looking gun and being a .22 ammo is cheap

This is correct. As long as you file the proper paperwork and get the proper signatures form local authorities, some full autos, short barrelled shotgun and silencers are PERFECTLY LEGAL to own ans use.

They are cool as long as someone else pays to feed it. :D

The only one I would consider would be a supressed and shortened 10/22. At least most anyone could afford the ammo costs.

A classmate of mine is now a state patrol man and on the SWAT team. He brought out his issued and decked out M4 rifle. It is semi or fully automatic. It was a blast to shoot and my first experience with a fully automatic rifle. It is amaizing how it will push you backwards if you are not braced for it. Downsides.............sore fingers from reloading the clips for the mere seconds they last. jamminz.gifjamminz.gif

I always was told that you couldn't change your weapon to make it fully auto. And the paperwork, signatures... is for ones that are already auto and came that way from the manufacturer.

CHANGING one is different than just buying and OWNING one. :D Altering one would make you a manufacturer which you are not. there for NOT legal. But that's not was we where speaking of. Apples and oranges. Now since we are on a tangent, I will add that chopping down CERTAIN shotguns IS allowed again with proper permits, paperwork and tax stamps. For actual laws refer to the BATF;s web site.
