Can't believe no one noticed that the Pens had too many men on the ice for like 20 seconds, but whatever. :rotfl2:

Good game, very exciting. Maybe the NHL will get a competitive series after all. :D

Yeah, unreal. The announcers noticed though - that's about it. I'm sure the officials will be reamed out pretty good for that "oversight" and be alert for any repeats for the rest of the playoffs. Great game though. But the Wings will win on the road Thursday night.

as much as I hate to say it, and I do mean this with all due respect to Detroit as an original hockey town.......their fan base is waining :(

Not like D-town or any other city in the rust belt needs another kick in the crotch right now, but I think we have the momentum swing.

Regardless of who you root for, whether they're playing right now or not, you gotta admit this final series is some of the BEST hockey being played in the last 10+ years. Whoever wins it will certainly deserve it.

Oh, and VERSUS coverage...........sucks. I want my Mike Lange on audio simulcast over the interwebz, so I can listen to the games in true fashion (you 'burghers understand :chillin: )

That is all.

It's not only Detroit's fan base that's waining, it's the entire NHL hockey fan base, even in Canada. That's why it's on VERSUS; the "major" networks dropped hockey years ago. I grew up in upstate Vermont, we had no football team, just basketball and hockey. Played hockey in high school, although I was a backup goalie because I couldn't skate worth a dayem. :D Today, with the economy and the high schools trying to keep up, one of the first sports they drop is hockey 'cause it's an expensive sport to maintain. But I agree Jeff, this is some of the best Stanley Cup playoff hockey I've watched in many years. But I gotta pull for the original franchise teams that are still hanging in, like Detroit, Chicago, Boston, even Montreal :Canadaflag: .
