mvusse Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Why'd you buy my old truck from the junk yard? Yeah, that's 3 hours worth of snow in my parents' driveway, lake Huron snowbelt.

oldrusty Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 I bought the old ford off a buddy for $200 bucks. He was getting ready to build a house and it was in the road. Its a 77 f250 highboy, 390 4 spd and 4:10 gears. I plan on trying to get it ready to take to our local truck night for next summer, but 4 now its helping to spread holiday cheer in my neighborhood.

BLHTAZ Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I have never had the desire to decorate for Christmas...or any other holiday for that matter :dunno: . Just never made sense to me... I do like looking at what other people have doen though so start posting up your pics or videos so I can look  for a short video of the house across the street from me.

BookspanS Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I do this every year, this is from a few years ago, but I have one on my new Yellow XJ now: Where do you get a light up wreath for the front? I was wanting to do that
Sir Sam Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I do this every year, this is from a few years ago, but I have one on my new Yellow XJ now: Where do you get a light up wreath for the front? I was wanting to do that Target, Walmart, home depot, etc etc all sell Christmas lights, look in the Xmas section with all the other holiday stuff, sometimes they even sell wreaths with the lights already on them(though you pay alot more for the prewrapped wreaths) Here are some LED ones we got at ACE last year. http://colorado4wheel.com/images/libby/libby290.jpg http://colorado4wheel.com/images/libby/libby286.jpg
Geonovast Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I saw a firetruck pulled over on the side of the interstate last weekend that was completely covered in Christmas lights. They had pulled over because some of the icicles on the ladder had come loose and were dangling. I wish I'd stopped to take a picture, but it was somewhere between Marion, IA and Madison, WI on 151 in case any of you'd seen it.
jeepcoma Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 No lights for me, but in the spirit of xmas sharing I thought I'd share my decorations :)
mvusse Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 That's an okay bike, but I think I'd like the green one better. With the sidecar attached, of course.
BLHTAZ Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Did anyone put lights on anything but vehicles :huh???: I guess there are a bunch like me...like to look at them, but don't want to put them up
BLHTAZ Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Image Not Found I was just searching for that exact picture. Someone sent it to me in an email a few days ago and I saved it, but can't find it now. I was going to post it in my last reply...
Wildman Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Image Not Found Now that's my Idea of "putting up the lights" :rotf: Quick and done, and easy to take down
mvusse Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 My way has been easier yet the last two years. I put them up 3 years ago, and never bothered to take them down. Run an extension cord through a timer and presto!
GreenF350 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Not a Christmas light pic, but who doesn't like to see a Comanche with a Christmas tree in the bed??
Pete M Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 We didn't really have enough lights to do the house justice, so we decorated the crap out of the playhouse. :D
Jerry Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 No lights for me, but in the spirit of xmas sharing I thought I'd share my decorations :) Guess I can come out of the closet too now! ;)Another tinsely Christmas bike decorator over here  Apologies if the dirt offends some folk but winter riding is hard enough work without any cleaning after the daily commute.I promise under all that muck is a beautiful gleaming bike  We didn't really have enough lights to do the house justice, so we decorated the crap out of the playhouse. :DThat is one awsome playhouse!!
