project88mj Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 please post your front bumpers fit for a wench I'm going to get one soon :brows:
garmj Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 MAN I hope you mean WINCH not wench. I can't get my old lady to sit inside my truck let alone sit on the front bumper. :typing:
james750 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 If this is the bumper that you are going to add a "wench" to go ahead. But that bumper will never ever handle a winch. It looks like it is just the stock bumper with some tube welded to it.
project88mj Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 ok ok ok i made a typo :dunce: . you can't tell me you never made one youself yes that is my stock bumper with pipe welded on it :clapping: i need to up-grade for a stronger bumper so post your bumpers please
garmj Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Check Ebay type in Jeep Cherokee XJ Bumper. I have seen some on there that are realy nice and at a good price too.
project88mj Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 this thread is for HOME/SELF MADE bumpers please post all pics
HKB3 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I`ll be working on my junk sometime this weekend if I remember I`ll snap a couple of pics
JeepcoMJ Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 here's mine...I didn't make it and have no real specs/measurements on it, so what you see is what you get. it will fit a warn M9500 though, which is supposed to be the widest and now second fastest winch available. TNT from the club here made it, and he can tell you everything about it if you pm him.
Pete M Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Nothing fancy here, just big and brutish (and cheap). The bumper mounts are more important than the bumper itself if you've looking to winch off it. I intend to make a receiver platform for my future winch so it can go in the front or back. About half the time I've been stuck, backwards was a better option than forwards. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL91/512063/7859168/103751626.jpg
jtdesigns Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Fixed your junk ADMIN..... Gezzsh... :D Arrrrrrr this be a highjack matey.......... Hey Pete.... are those fog lights in your turn signal spot??
Pete M Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Yup. I routed turn signal duty to the little trailer lights. Looks like all that turkey and pie has affected my brain and I can't tell the diff between i and img. :D

I payed $350 but it's hit a few deer (not like that mattered to the bumper at all), and been used for a few years. I repainted it and mounted it and the lights, and the clevis wait until you see the rear bumper I'm gonna build :D
project88mj Posted November 28, 2008 Author Posted November 28, 2008 i really would like one just like that but with out the top bar along the hood and around the head lights i like that it had that trophy truck look I'm trying to go for
james750 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 ok ok ok i made a typo :dunce: . you can't tell me you never made one youself ANOTHER TYPO!!! LOL j/k. :D
