schweet! d44 cherokee at the jy today. 79 dollars because halfprice day. not only that but it had a special treat inside..
-
well, went to the JY today to get a xfer case shifter. Decided to look at some of the sleeper xjs. found myself a d44! spun the tires to make sure it was good and heard clicking so i thought to myself better pull off the diff cover.. so i did so not only did i get the d44 for 79 dollars because it was half price day but someone took the time to put a locker in it!!! sweet!! now it just needs regeared. i almost talked myself out of the 44 today cuz of budget but i can wait i guess so i can have the best axle option i can get.
-
i am seriously considering this as well. the price is awesome and you get alot for your money. so what if i have to cut off all the mounts and weld on new ones? the rear is super cheap to do. I couldn't build a d44 with selectable lockers with new EVERYTHING for less than 2gs i bet. it costs 1g alone to get a ARB installed. i say do it. I will when i have the money.

both times i had death wobble i got alignment and it fixed it.. getting that toe has to be pretty darn near perfect or you get wobble. it's really that sensitive.....

rancho 5000s 28" extended i think... i will see if i still have a box and get the part number -
I think you're talking about the new axles under Rubi JKs. They are a 5 on 5" bolt pattern and don't exactly bolt-in, causing all sorts of issues trying to adapt them to older Jeeps. But if they are the older Rubi axles, keep us posted. :D yup. your right i forget that part.. i juut get excited thats all! buy both axles and new mounts and you would be set though!

actaully in the newest petersons you can get a jeep dana 44 from mopar rotor to rotor complete with a locking electric locker and 4.10 gears for 1400. that is a steal! read the newest petersons about it! if i could find my issue i would give you the page number..

sorry i just saw this in your post "Lucky the 4.5" re-uses the stock springs" assumed add-a-leaf my bad -
well, picked up some junkyard buckets today for $30 bucks. took out that old bench seat i had. after that the floor was a mess. but instead of cleaning it i had to get my drivers seat in at least. and here we go with one seat. no tears in em and it is amazing how much space opens up with buckets. i didn't think it would be that noticeable also got my posilok in. can't wait to put it in the truck tomorrow night. got it for $50 dollars! Sweet!

don't do a add a leaf kit. spring over the rear and do a front lift kit only. then you only need shocks for the back and extended brake lines. And i had a rustys lift and liked it on my cherokee but for the little extra buy something higher quality. couple hundred more and you could do a long arm kit for the front. -
