Yeah, and look at the price, not even a 4x4. I won't even waste my time calling the guy. Anyone who has something like that "appraised", is never going to be realistic about their price. They will take the appraisal as gospel.

Right Jim, and as a cookie cutter XJ, you couldn't get that. Power options were obviously not standard then. And if you were after a 5-speed, it was usually only available on the lower trim levels. Because "rich" people don't like to shift. However if you went in and sat down at a dealership, they could pump out almost any combo for you.

This MJ was probably custom ordered. The power locks/windows and 5 speed combination pretty much give it away.

Not really "big" money, it looks nice. Maybe only the third one I have ever seen with power options?

That is definitely the street MJ front bumper. You should see if you can find out where they got it. Definitely not stock to that truck.

Yeah, I saved it from the scrapper the first time. Looks like it still ended up there. Pretty disappointing to see a completely rust free '91 hit the crusher.

So, sad story, but I figured I'd close out this thread. I ended up relocating to the Oregon coast. I couldn't drag the MJ with me during the move. I sold it to a friend who had intended to build it. He came across a nicer '91 for almost free. So he parted mine and sent it to the scrapper............... :( I'm looking for a clean '92 shortbox to be the basis of my project now. I know, good luck right?

Another great upgrade is to swap out the wind wings for the solid glass out of a newer first gen XJ. This mod cuts the road noise almost in half.

If I missed seeing it posted in here. Those door panels are old limited panels. Fairly hard to come by in such great shape, good find. Looks great in the MJ................... :cheers:

Trying to find some pics of a red MJ, very clean. Has an Avenger Supercharger on it. Custom scoop on the hood. I believe it eventually had an exo cage as well. I know one of you has those tucked away somewhere........... :yes:
