  3. I was thinking more so that both sides have an equal response in the result of a collision...
  4. hey, that's good enough for me. I know he does good work, I was just voicing more what I would do, not saying he's doing it wrong. Sam, I would put those on both sides just to keep things even.
  5. hopefully you disclose that information when it's sold...
  6. I wouldn't even hesitate. straight across the board.

sounds like more electronic garbage to me...
  10. you will need to modify the downpipe area of it, and make a custom down pipe, but in the long run, it will bolt up to your head, at least.
  11. that's overpriced on the trans by about $249, and transfercase by about $100 an ax15 would be about $150-$400 depending on your area and miles, and it's more or less a bolt-in.
  12. it says it's a 4x4, and you're wrong. it's very feasible to convert a 2x4 trans to 4x4...you just need the proper parts from a bad transmission.
  13. that's the way I'd look at it :D upgrade time!
  14. if it's an '88, it has the peugot ba10/5 ...unless someone swapped in an ax15.
  15. the trans is a ba10/5 if it's original, and so your t-case won't work. it's a 21 spline. the planetary assembly has different cuts in the '88 tcase, so you can't even swap the input shaft.
  16. the arm goes parallel to the ground, the bar goes vertical. it will make a difference. pop the rod off on the diff end of it, push the bar towards the passenger side and up, and pop it back on.
  17. standard meaning 5 speed? you've got 3.07 gears, or you did, unless someone swapped axles. the proportioning valve is the part that the metal rod connected to the driver's side of the diff cover goes to. disconnect it and push it vertical with the arm it connects to on the body being parallel to the ground.
  18. and factory skid plate package. oh, your proportioning valve is on wrong...flip that rod so it's pointing vertical
  19. pull the reservoir tank strap off, move it out of the way, remove the support for the reservoir, and then remove it.
  20. you mean in the DIY section? we're trying to catalogue comanches. type in vin decoder or jeep build specs in google to get yours.
  21. yes, it's under the coolant reservoir. a green and black wire to a connector.

    2wd XJ MPG?

good price, but I'd be trying to get around $800 off of it. after all, it is 2wd and we do live in wisconsin... my 97/4.0/5 speed/4x4 got 22.5mpg average. that thing should be right around there. to be honest, I'd be converting it to 4x4, too...safety first.
  23. what's a master slave? is that the slave in charge on the plantation?
  24. nice work! when are you bringing it my way for the 97+ swap?
