  2. girsmj86 did it http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... c&start=75 but, he doesn't have any very good pics of it up. i think he sent me some..but no idea where they went...
  3. window has to come out, and the window style has to be for the rubber piece...as far as I know, they part number for the windshield is different. the rubber molded ones started in late 94. they're for the air bag deployment...when that happens, the window will bust out rather than holding it in and potentially causing damage to the driver. don't even attempt to remove the windshield yourself. a first-timer should try it on something that's junk, and personally, I've had a couple windshields out and will always pay to have it done...around $100 bucks here to swap in a used windshield, that's including removing the one from the donor truck. $180 for a brand spanking new windshield.
  4. correct. although, with a small amount of work JUST the center pieces from a 85-90 will fit. you have to shorten the upper and lower trim to fit between the headlight bezels, then screw that in, and voila, you can have a 10 slot grille...
  5. 91 and up. it's a 3 piece grille so you need the newer style.
  6. they've got lunchbox lockers. non-LSD
  7. ...I'd buy it for $20? in all seriousness, it's a great truck..but i honestly don't understand why the heck it had to be cut that far...
  8. yea, I only owe you $110 right now... :D just gonna lunchbox it, I don't want to weld it.
  9. hey man, the stranger is a good trick.

  13. harsh dude
  14. you have the cover off. read the numbers on the ring gear should be a bunch of numbers/ID tag on it, followed by or began with 2 seperate numbers. one will be a two-digit number most likely above 30, such as 43, and the other will be a 2 digit teen number, such as 11 or 13 then take the larger number divided by the smaller number
  15. I like how i'm pretty much the catalyst for the WI jokes.... :brows:
  16. can I use a locker out of any dana 44? front, rear, doesn't matter? or does it matter. i know where a couple locked axles are at a few junkyards...and frankly don't have the $$$ for a locker, and these are "pocket-items" some might say. i know both owners of the junkyards and they couldn't care less about that scrap metal...i bring them enough that it would be free. appreciate the help. never locked before and about to be putting a mj dana 44 in the 3800 with 4.10's and SOA/6.5" lift
  17. gears?
  18. regeared? someone put a locker in a d44 with bad gearing? :P what gears are in it?
  19. always thinking about cars.
  20. a credit slip good for a back massage, some oil, and scented candles... $#!&...no, sorry that's what i'm giving someone for valentines. $2k-$3k sounds bout right...
  21. don't think i did a random number thing to join...
  22. #1 stroker, and cheap gaskets don't mix. buy quality unless you want to take it apart again #2 no, you shouldn't sandblast the piston connecting rods. you run the risk of destroying the bearing surfaces for the wrist pin, and the surface for the rod bearings. you CAN clean it using a bead blaster (media cabinet, a.k.a. a smaller version of a sandblaster that uses either very fine sand, or glass beads depending) but be careful on the bearing surface. I'd probably clean it with a parts washer, and call it a day once they're clean and dry.
  23. it's technically a publicly owned company since it has shareholders. some of these shareholders have GOT to be sellers/buyers, which means they have a voice in the "company". so, they should put a stop to the guy and say @#$% you to him. i'm not paying for that, and i'm not selling to zero feedbackers AT ALL anymore IF i do use ebay. this screws people, who like my dad, make their living off of ebay.
  24. it's still a piece of rusty $#!&.
