When I started my fence u got help from a friend who used to install for a living. He told me there in ne indiana that 36" is plenty deep. He was more concerned that I used enough concrete. He said 120lbs per post. I know when I frame decks and buildings we are code required to be 36v deep to get below frost. I'm sure its deeper up there in the artic tundra where you are.

Concrete to set the posts. don't buy panels. Build your own it will make a better fence and look nicer in the end. Not a difficult project compared to maintaining jeeps.

What about relocating the pump? Both my cjs have electric pumps and both are on the frame rail just ahead of the tank. I believe the 85 is on the passenger rail and the 77 is on the drivers rail. can't speak for the 77 as it hasnt run since I brought it home, however the 85 has never had heat issues.

Saw one yesterday at the menards one illinois Rd in fort wayne. I was working so no time to wait or try to locate the owner. Saw a second one today on coliseum blvd. near glenbrook. No pics as I was driving. It was dark colored with a white ring around the beveled section of the tailgate.

I believe lifting the wiper off the glass is what disengages the "latch". It kind of a fiddle operation to hold the wiper up off the glass and grab the small "nub" end and pull it off the splines.

Come to think of it mine is a YJ cover. However I also have a YJ "family rollbar". I could see where that would cause fit issues on yours.

(Wife took them, and hasnt sent them too me yet)*** And after a quick bath shes tucked in the shop to get some needed attention.

I was a CJ owner long before a MJ owner. And have been in many a forum. It doesnt matter if we called it "underwater basket weaving club". I would still be here daily. Its just too good of a community of good peoples not to belong. I guess what I'm getting at is the name doesnt mean squat. Cj,mj,zj,xj,sj....whatever, don't matter as long as its cool. Lol Edit: just told the wife about this thread and she looks it me and says "why don't we have any eagle?" Guess I need to make even more room in the shop. Lol

That implies a desire to recover from said addiction. Some of us are content with addiction.

Plans are too clean and repair only. I have a modded cj, this ones stays stock to drive and enjoy.

It is defiantly not a southern jeep. Has lived its entire life in my home town here in northern indiana. Not a complete rust bucket but not perfect. However I will be 3rd owner, and know both the previous owners. It is stock as you will find. Not even a lift. 98,000 miles. Edit: 1977

Blue circle is vacuum for the map sensor. Thats your running problem.

Do you think the solid wire core in mine would indicate replacement at some time?

New will probably not exist at this point. We are most likely stuck with used or possibly an aftermarket replacement. To my knowledge no one is making replacements. You will probably have to source a used one

Ok I just took a look at the parts truck to see what I had wrong. Is the "core" of the cable supposed to be a solid wire or a woven cable? My truck has a solid core, however the parts truck appears to be a woven cable. I ask because my solid core cable seems to be sliding in the clip on the heater box arm.

So I have a problem with my temp cable. It came unhooked under the dash at the box. No big deal its happened before. Just put it back on. However this time its like the cable has stretched. Not sure whats going on. Any idea? Would there be a connection on the back of the hvac controls that would of come lose and allowed the cable to move? Strange part is the plastic tab that anchors the lower part of the sheathing to the heater box is in place to its almost like the "core" wire has stretched somehow.
