Just swapped the CPS to no avail... Have swapped Coils, Ballast Resistor and Relays so far. I'm working out in the cold....I'm gonna try the MAP sensor as well. It cranks and reeks of fuel, but i see no leaks or signs of a leak anywhere....

Well the plastic sleeve was all but falling apart in my hands last night. The sensor itself is in pretty crummy shape, but would that cause the truck to just shut off (it was ideling fine, no misses or nothing) and not refire?.... I'm gonna try swapping out the coil, CPS and the knock sensor and see where that gets me.... So ill dig into it alittle later on today. Thanks Again.

Alright, well my MJ left me stranded for the 1st time last night, 30 miles from home. Ive pretty much narrowed it down to the CPS (again) or the Coil. However i found this plug and sensor right above the oil pan on the drivers side wasnt in happy shape at all but I have no idea what it is or if it would have anything to do with my no start issue. I circled it for you guys, the plug on the bottom left is for the O2 sensor... Thanks for any help. 88/4.0/AW4/4x4

I have a Spartan in the front of my MJ. I'm gonna jump outta line here and say that having the CAD could provide another option when wheeling. If i understand correctly with the locker installed and the CAD engaged You have both front tires getting power, now say you were to bypass the CAD with a cable? Wouldent that allow you to choose between power to both front tires or just 1? There for if your worried about icy roads or decreased you would have the option to run in standared 4x4 or acctually engage the locker. Idk just a thought ;)

Untill I can't buy anymore MJs and XJs I'm not gonna worry about the new stuff.... :cheers:

1991 Jeep Comanche Sport. SWB 4.0/AW4/231/D30/D35 w/ Trac Lok Has been around town for a long time and I finally got a chance to capture the vin, mainly used as a plow truck and the salt is taking its toll :cry: Its in very good shape overall and even the paint is spectacular but the usual rust areas are beginning to show... Owner is a fella named Roger Snapped a quick Cell phone pic and sorry about the glare.

Yeah, she's the one that puts up with the constant ebb and flow of Jeep through the house. Helps that she's not bad on the old eyes. She's got a horse, I've got a bunch of Jeeps. Both are money pits, but I can stop spending money on mine if I have to. My running joke. (You don't have to feed an MJ everyday) I go through the Excat same thing with my Girl. But shes into Milk Cows :shake: :rotf:

I liked the Black/Blue combo.....sounds like your on your way to having an Awesome truck. Every small mod or add on will only teach you more and before you know it youll have multiple MJs and be wanting to do the same thing to them all. Ill be watching your progress

Your owners manual should show you what relays are located where. :thumbsup: (i wonder how may people even read those things anymore :roll: )

Pulsing lights could be the sign of a failing Alternator... The radio likely has a bad circuit inside of it, I had 1 do the same thing and replaced it with another OEM unit and the problem ceased. Check your front bulb sockets for corrosion and check the tailight ground behind the drivers side tail light. These trucks are notorious for playing electrical games with simply 1 bad ground connection. Good Luck :thumbsup:

Should be under the hood. not excatly sure which 1 it is though.....all my MJs are Renix so I'm not sure if they moved stuff like that around or not :dunno:

Well the other radio worked but would cut out completly over half volume so I came across another and this 1 had a cassette player (fancy) So in it went. Paint and wheels/alignment are on the horizon then this may possibly be passed onto my father for a general work truck for around the house. :thumbsup: Stay tuned...not quite done yet ;)

Heck i even saw 3 this morning! All SWB and all looked to be in decent shape. I guess people up here use em for Winter trucks ;)

It says the lot is sold...wonder who picked it up?
