    Tire Poll

I like white out on most vehicles, but the vehicle color has a lot to do with that too. All three of our vehicles have black wall tires on both sides so there is no worry about choosing for us right now.
  2. I work at a Jeep dealership in the parts deptartment. I have done extensive research trying to find one for anything still available for another member on here and there is only one left that I have found so far. It is for an 18 gallon tank with a carbureted engine and it is in Columbia, SC at Galeana Chrysler Jeep...part# 52003644.
  3. I am finding that certain applications/situations are gettng good results with MPG like my MJ did. I gained about 14% with the change, but it is all depending on the condition and age of the injectors being replaced. I don't expect to see MPG gains in Strokers, but in the regular stock applications there have been quite a few noted improvements so far. I have made a similar post on the Stroker forums, but have not put it on the Yahoo group yet. All info is apprecaited. If they are not working out for Strokers...I want to find that out as well because I would not want Wojtek promoting something that is not true. So far I have found that the Stroker guys seem to be happy with the 24# injectors, but I have only had repsonses from a couple.
  4. No argument from me there
  5. Good job dude  Glad to hear that you worked it out. These old trucks just take a little "engineering" sometimes to get things done, but that's half of the fun ;) .
  6. Has anyone here with a Stroker used the upgrade Ford Motorsport injectors? I need some info on your experience if you have. J-Rations Magazine is going to do an article on the injectors that Precision Auto Injectors is selling and we need to get as much feedback as possible. I have some good stuff on them from my installs in our '88 MJ & '95 YJ, but neither of these have strokers yet. I would really like some actual stoker results/info to include in the article. We are doing an install specifically for the J-Rations writer on March 8th, but we have about 3 weeks total to gather information for the article. Can anyone help? I know that several people on here have purchased injectors recently for the regular 4.0L or other engines and we would like to have your results/feedback as well. Any info you can provide is welcome...MPG gains, idle change, acceleration, starting etc, etc...
  7. It would definitely have to be under $500 for me to be interested in it.

XJ = Cherokee - 1984 - 2001 MJ = Comanche - 1986 - 1992 Every vehicle built has a "Body Code" associated with it, but Jeeps live by them where most others never mention them unless you work in a parts department at a dealership ;) .
  9. Why...?? :hmm: I run it (AMSOIL) in everything I own and have for over 10 years now. The protection and performance is unbeatable.
  10. I didn't really bend it the other way...just kind of flattened them out and the angle of the floor put them right were I wanted them. The bolts that came with them worked fine for me, but as I said...I have no carpet, just the rubber floor covering came in mine.
  11. Mine doesn't have carpet so I did not have that to deal with. I do recall having the issue with the bend being the wrong way. I had to get creative with a hammer and make it bend the way I wanted it too, but it was only a minor thing and easy to fix. I did have to use the bolts that they supplied as the stock ones will not work...but, you already know that. They are definitely "universal" belts and do require a little finesse, but it was no big deal for me and only took about 45 minutes to install both sides ;) . I am sorry that I didn't mention the "universal" thing when I posted previously, but I did not remember it because it was an easy fix and did not stick with me as being a problem  .
  12. X2... There is no way that those are going in an MJ ;) .
  13. Get an aftermarket replacement. There is a guy on eBay that sells them for about $90. The OEM replacements are terribly expensive...even with the discount that I could get for you. Retail is $519 ... I can get it for $359.  As far as difficulty...it can be a pain with rusted bolts and access to the bolts without the right tools, but over all it's not a terribly hard job. I would give it a 5 on a scale to 10.
  14. I did that swap and can tell you that it is not worth the effort to change all those parts. It did take me forever to figure out a way to make the electric fan work, but I finally did it with a Hayden adjustable controller. My thread is here about it... http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7928 Kinf of long, but you will see that it is not worth the effort. There are also a couple suggestions in there for ways to make an open system that are much easier.
  15. Check this thread of mine. You could have a similar problem... http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... 0144#80144 Mine starts much better now ;)
  16. The only issue that I can imagine is that the MAT sensor is going to give false readings now because it may be too cool at the front of the manifold like that. It could impact your MPG, idle, acceleration etc, etc...
  17. It may just be a deceiving pic, but it looks like the yoke is bent/spread open in this pic and it also appears that the bearing caps are still in the yoke straps. If this is the case, I would say that a new yoke and my afore mentioned pinion adjustment may be needed.
  18. My 2.5 4wd gets much, much, much better mileage than my HO 4.0 2wd. Sorry...I should have added ... "in a Wrangler" ... to my statement. I have no experience with an MJ 4 banger, but every Wrangler I have been involved with fits my statement ;) .
  19. AMSOIL... It's all I use in all of my stuff. Engines, trannys, t-cases, axles, lawn mowers, trimmer, generator, chain saw, etc, etc... You just can't get better protection and when used properly, it is no more expensive than the poor protection of the conventional lubricants. ;)
  20. Very cool... :chillin: I went to the website to see about buying some... http://www.buymandles.com/ No luck though, it's just a show-of thing :D .
  21. What happened?? That pinion appears to need a little adjusting. From the pics, it looks like it could go up about 2-3 degrees and take some pressure off of the u-joint. It should be slightly below pointing straight at the t-case as it will move upward just a little on acceleration.
  22. X2... I was looking for some flexin' ;) I think it looks good with those tires on it, but...I like a lot of room around a tire for articulation.
  23. It must be a 4.0L. The 2.5L gets worse MPG than a 4.0.
  24. Since he put his email address in the ad, I wonder how many emails that he has received telling him he is crazy. ;) I wanted to...but didn't...honest.
  25. Myron Cope was one of the greats and an icon of Pittsburgh. He was a big part of my youth growing up in that area and will be forever remembered for many things. I own multiple terrible towels too... ;)
